Classical stage actor Julian Glover is best known for his memorable roles in television and film. He began acting in school productions whilst a child in the south London suburb of Dulwich and later attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts where he performed for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In 1980, Julian was lured to the Dark Side in the role of Imperial General Maximillan Veers in The Empire Strikes Back. Glover's movie credits also include the role of Aristotle Kristatos in the Bond film For Your Eyes Only and shifty art collector Walter Donovan in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. More recently, the actor portrayed the character Aragog in the blockbuster hit Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Julian Glover is a fine, imposing actor with great experience and ability to create an air of menace with minimalism and ease. He was therefore the first choice to play the head honcho of the most powerful bordello in the land, Lord Clarence Beaverbrook.
An ambassador for the Prince's Trust, Julian offered more than sterling support to Gangster Kittens, he clearly is one of the most distinguished actors of his generation.
A classical stage actor, Julian began acting with the National Youth Theatre and his earliest television credit dates back to 1960. He spent numerous seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is arguably one of the best actors to appear as a guest in episodic television. He made his film debut in the Oscar winning Tom Jones.
He has worked with some remarkable cast and crew members both nationally and internationally, for television, stage and screen.
